Blade Runner: The Chicken Head and the Device

Having read more of "Blade Runner," a reader like myself can see more of the aftermath of World War Terminus. One consequences from the war is people called specials. Specials are humans who have their genes altered from the dust created from the war. They can be classified into different groups and one group are called Chicken-Heads. Apparently they are not really smart. Some Chicken-Heads have to be in "Special Institutions" since they can not function well alone. One character, John Isidore, is a Chicken-Head. He lives alone in an abandon apartment and has a job as a electric animal repairs men. He appears to be very lonely and his only comfort is a device called empathy box. The empathy box some how connects thousand of peoples minds together to make them feel going up a hill as an old man.
